Juan Hernandez: Willamette University 2023
Juan joined the Battle Lab in Fall 2019 working on synthesizing naphthalimide derivatives for sensors. He has since moved on to the Williamson Lab for his senior thesis focusing in experimental physical chemistry.
Shione Mochizuki: Willamette University 2022
Shione joined the Battle Lab in Fall 2019, and was awarded a Webber Scholarship to continue her research for Summer 2020 and the subsequent school year. Shione continued her work as part of her senior thesis, and graduated in May 2022. Shione is currently working as a CNA gaining clinical experience for PA school.
Julia Fecteau: Willamette University 2022
Julia joined the Battle Lab in Spring 2021 and worked full time in Summer 2021, graduating in May 2022 and moving on to a research position at OHSU.
Miguel Alonso Rodriquez: Willamette University 2021
Miky was part of the Battle Lab from Fall 2019 through Spring 2021 and graduated from Willamette University in May 2021. Miky is currently serving in the United States Navy.
Helena Wetzel: Willamette University 2021
Helena was part of the Battle Lab from Fall 2019 through Spring 2021 and graduated from Willamette University in May 2021. She will be starting a masters program at the University of Oregon in the Masters Industrial Internship Program in Fall 2022.
Elizabeth Larson: Willamette University 2021
Elizabeth was part of the Battle Lab from Spring 2019 through Spring 2021 and graduated from Willamette University in May 2021. She is currently applying for a Fulbright scholarship to work in Europe.
Hernán Chávez Avalos: Willamette University 2020
Hernán was part of the Battle Lab from Spring 2019 through Spring 2020 and graduated from Willamette University in May 2020. He is currently in a MS program in Biomedical Sciences at the University of Southern California.
Isabel Solano: Willamette University 2020
Isabel was part of the Battle Lab from Spring 2019 through Spring 2020 and graduated from Willamette University in May 2020. Isabel is teaching secondary school science in the United Kingdom as part of the Teach First Program.
Milla Bevens: Willamette University 2019
Milla was part of the Battle Lab from Fall 2018 through Spring 2019 and graduated from Willamette University in May 2019. She has been working as a medical scribe, and is in the process of applying to medical school.
Mark Power: Willamette University 2019
Mark was part of the Battle Lab from Fall 2018 through Spring 2019 and graduated from Willamette University in May 2019. Mark is currently in a Masters in Molecular Life Sciences at Wageningen University in the Netherlands starting Fall 2020.

Allison Brink: Grinnell College 2019
Allison was part of the Battle Lab from Summer 2017 through Fall 2017, and went on to graduate from Grinnell College in May 2019. She is currently working on her PhD in the Tang Lab at the University of Chicago, starting Fall 2019.
Gwen Holtzman: Grinnell College 2019
Gwen was part of the Battle Lab from Summer 2017 through Fall 2017, and went on to graduate from Grinnell College in May 2019. She is currently in a research position at the Feinberg University School of Medicine at Northwestern University and will be starting an MD program at the University of New Mexico in Fall 2021.
Emma Olson: Grinnell College 2019
Emma was part of the Battle Lab from Summer 2017 through Spring 2017, and went on to graduate from Grinnell College in May 2019. She completed a graduate program in the Masters Industrial Internship Program at the University of Oregon, followed by working as a chemist at the Oregon Health Sciences University, and is currently working at Firmenich in New Jersey.
Francisco Sanchez-Conde: Grinnell College 2018
Francisco was part of the Battle Lab in Summer 2017 and went on to graduate from Grinnell College in May 2018. He went on to a research position with the Ferrario Lab in the Pharmacology department at the University of Michigan, and is currently pursuing a PhD in Pharmacology in the Jones Lab at The University of Michigan started in Fall 2019.
Chloe Briney: Grinnell College 2017
Chloe was part of the Battle Lab in Spring 2017, and graduated with honors from Grinnell College in May 2017. She continued on to a prestigious 2-year NIH post-baccalaureate research program at the National Cancer Center, and is currently in the MD-PhD at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus.
