Miky graduated from Willamette University in 2021 with a B.S. in Chemistry with a concentration in Biochemistry.

Miky joined the Battle Lab in Fall 2019, and did his senior thesis looking at the stability of guanine quadruplexes under simulated biological conditions (cell culture medium and fetal bovine serum) in addition to exploring the effects of transfection reagents on quadruplex structure and optimizing the delivery of quadurplex nucleic acids into cells grown in tissue culture.

Miky is currently serving in the United States Navy.
