Hernán Chávez Avalos

Hernán graduated from Willamette University in 2020 with a B.A. in Chemistry with a biochemistry focus.

In the Battle Lab, his work had two significant aims: looking at the effects of extra base pairs both in the loop and at the ends of the strands, and examining the effects of cell culture medium and serum on quadruplex folding.

Hernán is currently pursuing his masters degree in Biomedical Sciences at the University of Southern California.
