Emma Olson graduated from Grinnell College with a Chemistry major Spring 2019. Her work in the Battle Lab focused on synthesizing a benzo(k,l)xanthene-3,4-dicarboximide scaffold for use as a fluorescent sensor. Following her time in the Battle Lab, Emma pursued a summer research internship with our collaborator Dr. Tod Grusenmeyer in synthesis and photochemistry at the Air Force Research Labs.
